Mineral and fossil collecting. Geology. Lapidary arts - cabochons and faceting. If you are in the Poconos and are interested in any of the above, join us at one of our monthly meetings.
The Monroe County Earth Science Association was established in 2007 to stimulate interest in mineralogy, lapidary, paleontology and all earth science related subjects. We are a non-profit organization of geologists, teachers, students, jewelers and hobbyists. The association has broad activities designed for beginners through the professionals on a wide variety of topics. The diversity of the members is what makes this club exciting. Everything from budding junior rock hounds, hobbyists, and experts all mixed together enjoying camaraderie, collections, knowledge and field trip experiences.
